This blog includes a description of many of the remedies, herbs, and supplements I gave to Maggie and Tara and am giving to Tara, during our Loss of a Pet Journey because of bone cancer. In some cases, I’ve included web sites that I found helpful. This page will be updated as we add more remedies, herbs or supplements and I come across more information.
This page was entitled ‘remedies, herbs, supplements’ which makes the utmost sense but I seem to be receiving a dozen e-mails (comments) a day from various companies promoting their drugs — many of which I would never use nor would I have used on Maggie, including those to improve her sexual performance! Especially those for sexual performance of organs she didn’t have! I find it, not only annoying but offensive and just plain rude that companies send e-mails promoting their medical lproducts to a blog about the loss of my magnificant and regal Maggie. Technology is wonderful but sometimes it is not helpful.
Anyway, I’m not endorsing any of the products or practices I’ve used for Maggie and Tara and include them only to provide information. I’m using them because I believe they are beneficial for Maggie and/or Tara. It is important that you use what you believe will work for your animal companions. In all cases, I have muscle-tested these products for Maggie and for Tara. You may consider doing the same for your animal companions.
The information I’m providing pertains strictly to Maggie Soo, Tara, and I. Please do not construe it to be, or have it replace, medical/veterinarian advice or as a substitute for any professional services. It is not, in any way, meant to represent treatment, cure or mitigation of disease or illness. My intent is only to share our experiences which may hopefully make your journey easier. I cannot stress enough the importance of having a professional team, including medical, veterinarian, nutritionists, and therapists, to help you as you progress along your own journey. My gratitude for my team — of professionals, friends and family — is never ending.
Aerobic Oxygen — empowers the immune system and sustains health and vitality. Dr. Otto Warburg, who won the Nobel Prize for medicine, proved that the growth of cancer is inhibited in a high oxygen environment. Many other respected medical doctors have noted the importance of oxygen for healthy cellular structure.

The NOW® Bone Meal Powder I’m using is sterilized and sanitary and is tested for heavy metals such as lead and aluminum to assure the lowest levels possible.
CicatriVet — Facilitates healing after surgery. It includes Belladonna, Apis mellifica, Staphysagria, Arnica, Hypericum, and Millefolium.
Colour Therapy — Colour is energy and as such it can be used to energise or balance the body’s energy centres. It can be a catalyst for the body’s own healing processes.
Essiac — is a blend of herbs believed to have cancer-treating properties. Rene Caisse, a Canadian nurse, discovered it and named it after her last name spelled backwards. The original formula is believed to have its roots in native Canadian Ojibwa medicine. The main botanicals in ESSIAC® are Burdock root (Arctium lappa), Sheep sorrel leaves (Rumex Acetosella), Slippery elm inner bark (Ulmus fulva), and Indian rhubarb root (Rheum officinale). Turmeric and Bromelin — Turmeric stimulates digestion, supports the liver, and reduces intestinal permeability. Turmeric’s active ingredient is curcumin. Curcumin helps to check inflammation by inhibiting leukotrienes and thromboxanes and is also an antioxidant that helps to stabilize membranes that are damaged by inflammation. Bromelain aids in digestion by breaking down protein, and improves the absorption of turmeric. Bromelain also helps with blood vessel and joint inflammation. Bromelain blocks the body’s production of kinins, reducing swelling and promoting healing.
